Note the senator in favor of the bill who says he won't stop until marriage between a man and a woman is protected. Because there's been a rash of bills lately defining marriage as *only* between two men or two women.
It's only defeating these bills that protects marriage for ME--otherwise it's too much like joining a country club that doesn't admit jews or blacks. And where do these idiots get off acting like they invented the concept marriage and hold a copyright on the idea? They need some basic history lessons, and some basic lessons in intellectual property law. Except that xian fundies logically have to be anti-education, since the most basic history and logic prove them wrong, wrong, wrong.
NO! If gay people can get married, then my marriage is nullified! I thought it was a strange thing to have in the vows, but I didn't want to make a fuss!
